Weekly Sketch

When his rider , Marshal ‘Swifty’ Galveston was killed , his horse ‘Dash’ was left with no future. Instead of turning himself into the local glue factory , Dash decided t continue with his masters wished=s and clean up the old west.


In February 2013, scientists at were able to get a monkey to control a robotic arm by means of probes, the width of a human hair  inserted into the monkeys’ primary motor cortex – the region of the brain that controls movement.

Dr Andrew Schwartz, who is based at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine,said the research could eventually benefit the development of prosthetic limbs for people with spinal cord injuries or for amputees.
